- Job Description Summary The Aerospace Engineer will work within the Commercial Fan & Compressor Aerodynamics team to perform aerodynamic design and test of fans, boosters/LPCs, and high-pressure compressors, as well as related compression aerodynamic components.
- In this role you will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including airframers, global partners, leadership staff, and the broader compression aero team to provide aerodynamic performance assessments of gas turbine engine components and commercial aviation propulsion systems.
- Perform computational fluid dynamics (CFD) studies including geometry modification, meshing, solver execution, post-processing, and interpretation of the CFD results
- Use and develop in-house engineering tools to perform aerodynamic evaluations, such as Tacoma CFD solver
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline with an emphasis in compression aerodynamics
