- Transfer: Current NYS Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive status as a Community Health Program Manager 2 (M3) OR a NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a title at or above a G27/M2 and deemed eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the NYS Civil Service Law.
- Open Competitive: Ten years of professional public health experience in a public health agency or program.
- An associate degree can substitute for two years of specialized experience; a bachelor's degree can substitute for four years of experience; a master's degree in a related field can substitute for five years of experience; and a doctorate in a related field can substitute for six years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Public Health as well as strong administrative skill/background; organizational, written and oral communication skills; experience with communicable disease surveillance and outbreak response activities.
- Duties Description The incumbent will function as the regional coordinator/manager of the MARO Communicable Disease Control Program and will be responsible for the oversight and development, implementation, and management of the full spectrum of Communicable Disease Control Programs within the nine counties of MARO. The position will be in New Rochelle with travel to the other MARO offices required.
