- Grow Good Hawaii, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to restore nature and strengthen Hawaii's food security through community-driven, agroecological solutions in urban settings, is currently seeking a Community Coordinator.
- This role will support the implementation of the "Trees for People: Growing an Urban Community Food & Native Forest" project, a significant initiative funded by a $5 million grant from the Urban & Community Forestry Program of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service.
- Over the course of five years, the project aims to distribute 2,000 trees and facilitate a variety of programs for education, support, and community building.
- Experience in horticulture, landscape architecture, conservation, environmental science, community food systems, commercial agriculture, or similar fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Commitment to community improvement, environmental justice, and food security.
