- Furthermore, this individual supports CNP efforts for the district’s local wellness initiative, Healthy Kids Here (HKH), which encompasses whole child health through our 3 pillars of health (Food, Fitness, and Forever) by ensuring all IDEA campuses meet and consistently implement HKH measures to support maintaining IDEA Public Schools as the healthiest school district in the nation.
- Location:This is a full-time (remote/on-site) position based in Texas with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.
- Travel Expectations:Up to 30% travelWhat You’ll Do – AccountabilitiesEssential Duties: -35%: Support the CNP Special Diets Manager in ensuring Special Diet accommodations, including menus for top 9 and other allergens, are available across all menu lines, Special Diet foods are identified and procured in each region and carbohydrate data for all menu items are compiled and distributed to campus Health & Wellness staff.
- 20%: Support the CNP Special Diets Manager and CNP Nutrition Managers in maintaining accurate Special Diet data including: 1) menus that are compliant with state and federal guidelines, 2) updated nutrition labels and allergen information for all menu lines, and 3) all products procured through third parties are complete with cost analysis and other purchasing information.
- 10%: Assist in the development and delivery of comprehensive training sessions, ensuring that all CNP campus staff, Health Aides, and relevant campus administration receive in-depth instruction on a spectrum of Special Diet related topics including, but not limited to: Special Diet policies and procedures, food safety basics, cross-contamination prevention, and nutrition education.
