- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition appropriately to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Ensure surgical asepsis and sterile technique, prepare and position patients for procedures, and validate equipment, supplies, and instrumentation prior to procedures.
- Evaluate patient and/or family learning needs and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances throughout the perioperative process.
- Associate’s Degree Nursing (ADN): Required, validated by the presence of an active Kentucky RN license.
