- The Levine Cancer Institute (LCI) and the Department of Surgery at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, are seeking a Chief for the Division of Surgical Oncology to lead an accomplished team of 25+ surgical oncologists.
- The Division Chief will provide a vision and strategic direction to the Division of Surgical Oncology, as well as leadership, supervision, and accountability to fulfill the education, research, clinical, and administrative missions and values of the Department of Surgery and LCI. The Chief of Surgical Oncology will have operational responsibility for surgical oncology across LCI with local accountability to the Chair of the Department of Surgery and LCI leadership.
- Faculty have academic appointments at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
- The Divisions in the Department of Surgery currently are Abdominal Transplant Surgery, Acute Care Surgery, General and Gastrointestinal Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Surgical Oncology.
- Fellowship programs are offered in Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, Breast Oncology, Advanced GI Surgery, HPB Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, Acute Care Surgery, and Robotic HPB Surgery.
