- The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the global professional society for oncology professionals, seeks a rigorous, collaborative, and innovative financial leader to serve as its next Chief Financial Officer.
- Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer & Executive Vice President and in close collaboration with ASCO's staff and volunteer leadership, the Chief Financial Officer will steward a complex organization including varied tax-exempt entities, endowments, real estate, sponsored research, overseas activities, federal funding, and a new enterprise business system.
- As ASCO pursues its strategic goals aimed at increasing access, advancing the profession, and transferring knowledge, they need a forward-thinking financial leader to effectively steward their fiscal resources, maintain state-of-the-art enterprise systems, sustain operational excellence, uphold the highest standards of compliance and security, and foster a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture.
- The next Chief Financial Officer is expected to bring exceptional leadership and oversight to ASCO's strong financial portfolio, which includes approximately $200M in annual operating revenue and $285M in cash and investments across the Society, Association, and Conquer Cancer.
- As the principal financial leader and expert for ASCO (Society and Association) and Conquer Cancer, the CFO must be committed to the highest ethical and professional standards.
