- An ideal candidate will be able to leverage their knowledge at the atomic and molecular level to help guide the development of new biomaterials and nanoscale technologies to enhance drug delivery systems.
- PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE: The project will focus on the design, synthesis, and evaluation of novel lipid and polymer libraries to be incorporated into nanoparticles for in vivo and organ-on-a-chip settings to decode the chemical and biological features dictating efficacy and successful delivery of gene therapies.
- You will collaborate with other scientists in pre-clinical research and development, and help to create effective, safe, and optimized biomaterials for drug delivery.
- Initiating and directing the design, synthesis, and physiochemical characterization of libraries of lipid and/or polymeric nanoparticles for gene/RNA delivery.
- Integrating knowledge from organic synthesis, biochemistry, drug delivery, and biology to identify the physiochemical features driving nano-bio interactions governing particle drug delivery profiles and pharmacodynamics.
