- The primary focus of our laboratory is applying CRISPR screening and targeted genetic engineering strategies to develop new T cell therapies for cancer treatment.
- We work with a variety of systems to model the interactions between T cells, cancer cells, and other immune cells both in vitro and in vivo.
- As an Oncologist here at UCSF, I am also interested in translating our mechanistic insights from the laboratory to the clinic.
- Our work draws from the fields of T cell immunology, cancer biology, and CRISPR genetic engineering.
- The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to ongoing work in these areas, with specific duties including CRISPR gene engineering, pooled genetic perturbation screens, T cell culture, mouse handling and tumor models, FACS analysis, and a variety of genomics techniques.
