- The Cardiac Sonographer produces images of heart muscle and functioning by setting-up ultrasound equipment, operating and adjusting equipment, recording cardiac data and measurements, and protecting and helping patients.
- This position assists with trans esophageal cardiograms, dobutamine stress test and other procedures as needed.
- Identifies cardiac anatomy according to age of patient, as well as, cardiac anomalies, heart disease and pertinent clinical information and communicates this to the cardiologist.
