- Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:As a member of the Child Abuse Prevention Treatment Act (CAPTA) Home Visitation Program, the CAPTA Counselor provides support to substance-affected infants and families in maintaining permanency by providing in-home services and assistance to ensure the child safety and welfare, health, and well-being, while attempting to strengthen and preserve the childs family.
- Engage primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
- Make appropriate treatment and service recommendations to ensure ongoing safety of the family at the completion of the CAPTA Home Visitation Program.
- Requirements:KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:Possess knowledge of at-risk adolescents, troubled youth and their families.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
