- The University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Division of Media Properties seeks a Broadcast Engineer to join our team.
- The Broadcast Engineer is responsible for assisting the engineering team with installation, operation, and maintenance of all WUFT/WRUF broadcast equipment including but not limited to RF systems in accordance with federal, state, local, and university rules and regulations at all transmitter sites as well as Weimer Hall. They should understand analog, digital, and IP-based systems and be able to integrate new technology and upgrades into the existing infrastructure as technology advances.
- The Broadcast Engineer is part of the Technology Advancement Group (TAG) and will support technical and engineering needs with the team managing both the television and radio stations infrastructure and technology.
- The engineer will report to the Assistant Director of Engineering and Facilities.
- Performs weekly readings and maintains high power broadcast television and radio transmitters and microwave transmitters, receivers and antennas to comply with Federal Communications Commission rules and regulations.
