- The primary function of the Board Certified Behavioral Analyst ( BCBA ) is to plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges.
- Develop materials and provide resources and deliver professional learning to administrators, certificated teachers, para-educators, and parents/guardians in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), and other evidence-based methodologies related to serving the needs of students with behavior difficulties
- Ensure behavior support plans addresses the functions of the problem behaviors.
- Train staff and/or family members directly on the implementation of the behavior support plan.
- Conduct fidelity assessments to ensure proper implementation of the behavior support plan.
