- The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Behavioral Health Consultant to provide care coordination and case management services to individuals receiving clinic and grant funded services at the University of Iowa's Addiction and Recovery Collaborative (UI ARC).
- This includes recruiting and enrolling eligible patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) into projects and providing case management and recovery support services to our patients.
- Duties and Responsibilities Function as a member of an interdisciplinary team that provides addiction treatment, clinical and grant-funded services, resources, and support to people who have a substance use disorder and are receiving medication for addiction treatment (MAT), Identify and recruit eligible MAT patients and serve as Case Manager for 30-40 participants enrolled in grant-funded projects.
- Provide participants with education about symptoms and treatment related to opioid use disorder, stimulant use disorder and addiction, including treatment goals, prevention, and naloxone access and use.
- Assist MAT providers with treatment and recovery planning related to substance use disorder and addiction, including knowledge of local behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment resources.
