- The Basic Needs Resource Specialist provides leadership, guidance, and support to students experiencing basic needs crises, including food, housing, and financial challenges.
- The responsibilities of this position require comprehensive expertise in student support and crisis management.
- A primary function of the Basic Needs Resource Specialist is to facilitate support to students in distress due to basic needs concerns by providing crisis resolution, as well as identifying a short and long-term plan to address students' basic needs and insecurities.
- The Basic Needs Resource Specialist will interface and collaborate with various campus departments, including, but not limited to, the Financial Aid & Scholarships Office, Ethnic and Gender Centers, and departments under the Health Wellness and Safety Division.
- The Basic Needs Resource Specialist will work independently under the general supervision of the Basic Needs Director.
