- The Yang Lab in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology at Stanford University School of Medicine is currently recruiting for an experienced protein biochemist to join our lab as a Basic Life Research Scientist and work with a team of medicinal chemists, virologists, and structural biologists in developing novel small molecule antivirals.
- As a member of our research team, the Research Scientist will make original scientific contributions and design and execute molecular research projects to discover, characterize, and optimize novel small molecular antivirals.
- The Research Scientist will write scientific sections of grant applications and progress reports and mentor/supervise junior members of the research team.
- Ph. D. in biochemistry or structural biology with prior experience and expertise in recombinant protein expression in insect cells (baculovirus), mammalian cells, and microbes.
