- Overview AmTrust E&S Insurance Services, a member of the AmTrust group of companies, is searching for an experienced and knowledgeable AVP, Underwriting to manage and lead a group of underwriters and assistants for our Specialty Casualty Unit. This individual will oversee activities of our E&S Primary Casualty and Supported Excess Products within designated region.
- Provides supervision for a group of underwriters who review, analyze, and price insurance coverage for commercial insureds.
- Analyze various rate plans utilizing claims history, risk characteristics and tailor coverage appropriately based on company guidelines.
- Gather competitor information, develop, and maintain relationships with wholesale brokers, and develop tools to grow department and underwriting profitability.
- May require a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty or requires equivalent work experience.
