- General Summary of Position The Assistant Vice President of Government Affairs assists with the development and implementation of public policy that contributes to the achievement of MedStar Health's mission.
- This position requires close coordination with the Vice President of Government Affairs and MedStar management in the execution of its strategy and advocacy before Maryland State and local government officials and communities invested in health care policy and the Maryland waiver model.
- Confer with the Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, and General Counsel, and Vice President of Government Affairs to formulate submissions to government officials and legislative and regulatory bodies.
- Possess a strong understanding of the Maryland legislative landscape and possess strong relationships to influence policy at the local and state levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, Business, or a related field required.
