- The Aviation OEM Investigator is responsible for conducting thorough investigations into issues related to aviation equipment manufactured by OEMs. The investigator will analyze incidents, defects, or failures to determine root causes, assess safety implications, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct detailed technical analyses, including failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), fault tree analysis (FTA), and reliability engineering assessments, to understand failure mechanisms and system interactions.
- Review test specifications, non-standard testing, writing of field notes, photo documentation, communication protocols with the requesting agency and hardware chain of custody.
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, aerospace engineering, aviation technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and analytical techniques used for data analysis, modeling, and simulation.
