- As an Auto Mechanic, you will perform vehicle and equipment trouble shooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to a variety of equipment that supports Port of Seattle operations at the SEA Airport.
- You will perform daily preventive maintenance, repair, rebuild, and tune-up work on equipment that includes but is not limited to hybrids, alternative fuel systems, light plants, airfield mowers, small utility carts, light duty vehicles, buses, airfield and road snow equipment, a variety of medium and heavy-duty trucks and equipment, man-lifts, fork-lifts, generators, and aircraft ground support equipment.
- Experienced - You are a journey-level mechanic, graduated from an accredited mechanic apprentice program, with the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B with airbrake and passenger endorsement within four months of employment.
- You may be disqualified for a conviction or citation of any of the following during the past 5 years: More than two (2) moving violations and/or at-fault accidents of any kind Speeding over 15mph above the speed limit Reckless driving Negligent driving Driving while under the influence of alcohol or other drugs License suspended / revoked / cancelled / restricted Hit and run Vehicular homicide Vehicular assault Eluding law enforcement Leaving the scene of an accident
- Communication - Your able to work from written and verbal instructions and be able to communicate by radio with peers, supervisors, and the air traffic control tower.
