- Masters degree required in Counseling, Student Personnel, Leadership, Policy Analysis, Higher Education Administration or other related disciplines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of student affairs/student development theory and practice, organizational, governance and administrative theory and practice, particularly in higher education.
- Comprehensive legal knowledge and practice of Higher Education Law, including case law and related compliance issues, Illinois Community College Statutes and related compliance issues, FERPA, Student Rights and Due Process, National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) regulations, State and Federal financial aid regulations, and ADA, Section 504, and other disability laws.
- Working knowledge of the threat assessment and behavioral intervention management process.
