- The Stephens Family Clinical Research Institute at Carle Health would like to hire a Associate Research Scientist for the Carle Clinical Imaging Research Program (CCIRP).
- CCIRP oversees research uses of Carle's clinical 3T MRI scanners and other imaging and computational resources.
- In addition, CCIRP works collaboratively with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's Biomedical Imaging Center in a shared venture, the Carle Illinois Advanced Imaging Center (CI AIC) and its 7T MRI scanner.
- The Associate Research Scientist will develop an independent, externally funded research program focused on development and application of advanced biomedical imaging processing methods; support investigators in their biomedical imaging studies; manage and pursue research using a de-identified imaging database; and pursue original research and support collaborators using data from the Champaign Urbana Population Study.
- The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a biomedical science or engineering field; be experienced in processing of neuroimaging and/or cancer imaging data, including functional and structural MRI; have outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills; be able to work independently, as a team member, and as a team leader; and develop an externally funded, independent research program.
