These needs include substance use risk reduction and primary prevention of mental health and interpersonal violence. Establish thorough learning outcomes and strategic planning goals; manage budget; and identify educational needs to achieve a campus culture of wellness. CSA 's are obligated to report crimes reported to them which occurred on campus, in public areas bordering campus and in certain non-campus buildings owned or controlled (leased) by the University. Responsibilities <ul><li>Recruit, hire, train, develop, and supervise student assistants, including graduate assistant(s), program assistant(s), and interns </li><li>Organize and administer a comprehensive wellness program, including programming and education that utilizes Public Health Theory </li><li>Recommend, develop/enhance and implement goals, objectives, policies and procedures for wellness programming </li><li>Oversee inclusive programming and scheduling of awareness weeks, social norming campaigns, and other programs </li><li>Support in the preparation and management of the annual budget </li><li>Prepare and present educational sessions on wellness topics using a health equity lens </li><li>Support in advisement, training of student peer educators in support of wellness initiatives </li><li>Collaborate with university areas to create a community that fosters life-long wellness and learning </li><li>Conduct evaluations of the effectiveness of the program and initiate planning studies to assist in determining needs and decision-making </li><li>Direct preparation of marketing and educational pieces for Wellness </li><li>Review and enforce policies and procedures </li><li>Maintain and utilize risk management best practices </li><li>Serve on University and departmental work teams and committees </li><li>Manage grant initiatives for the Office of Student Wellness & Health Promotion </li></ul>Required Qualifications Educational Requirements <ul><li>Master's Degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Higher Education Administration, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Psychology or related field </li></ul>Required Experience <ul><li>Five (5) or more years of related work experience</li><li>Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications Additional Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Current Certified Public Health (CPH) or Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential</li><li>Ability to stimulate student and community interest in the programs and services of the department</li><li>Demonstrated competency in addressing health disparities using population health framework </li></ul>Preferred Experience <ul><li>Experience working in a university setting</li><li>Experience in the design of educational programming</li><li>Experience facilitating large scale programming</li><li>Experience in assessment of programs</li><li>Experience in the preparations and delivery of presentations </li></ul>Proposed Salary $50,000 - $63,700 This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
