- It supports the missions of the System’s fourteen institutions by providing financial, legal, planning, purchasing, government relations, communications, development, and other central services.
- Additionally, this role manages ten attorneys and four support staff and serves as OGC’s primary point of contact for the University of Texas Permian Basin.
- Provide legal counsel and guidance to the UT System and its universities on various legal matters.
- Advise on legal topics such as faculty and employment law, student affairs, torts, law enforcement, campus safety, university policies, athletics, state and federal regulatory compliance, Title IX, complex investigations, employee benefits, and risk management.
- Work closely with the state Attorney General’s office in litigation matters and on outside counsel contracts.
