- The Hood College Department of Sociology and Social Work, housed in the School of Behavioral and Health Sciences, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track social work position beginning August 2024.
- We are seeking faculty who have a demonstrated ability, or strong potential for success, in teaching across our generalist social work curriculum while contributing to the diversity and excellence in our programs and courses through their research, teaching, and service.
- In addition to teaching 21 credits per year, the faculty member will be expected to advise social work majors, engage in scholarship and professional development activities, and provide service in support of the program, department, and college.
- Demonstrated ability or strong potential for success in teaching across the generalist social work curriculum, including in the areas of macro social work, human rights, policy analysis and advocacy.
- Research related to anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion in social work practice and/or education is of particular interest to the department.
