- Job Summary/Basic Function: The Assistant Director of Religious & Spiritual Life will provide a transformative liberal arts education for intellectually curious students in a collaborative, academically vibrant residential community that values a diverse world.
- Provide program support for major campus programs in conjunction with the Student Activities staff and spiritual wellness initiatives with Residence LifeSupervise the Interfaith Engagement Intern and the broader work of the Interfaith Council and Interfaith House to establish and convene an interfaith council of student leaders from different faith and spiritual traditions.
- With the help of the Interfaith Engagement Coordinator, students in the council should collaborate to identify disparities in interfaith education on campus and plan events to address the same.
- This may include holding campus-wide discussions, inviting guest speakers, and organizing informal mixers between and beyond different faith groups on campus; and assess programs; Collaborate with the interfaith student intern to develop and implement 1-2 anti-bias and/or “icons” workshops per semester.
- The workshops should promote interfaith literacy, interfaith dialogue, the exploration of campus members’ own spirituality and values, and challenge religion-based discrimination; and assess programs; notify the campus each semester about the Interfaith Calendar, and working with other college operations (ie.
