- Supervise 2.0 FTE Career staff who provide complex advising, programming, and other immigration services to UCSB's J-1 and H-1B Scholar population.
- Experience with Sunapsis, SEVIS and iCert databases; living, studying and/or working abroad
- Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States in order to be authorized to use the Department of Homeland Security's Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) database.
- Maintain relations with US Government agencies including US Citizenship & Immigration Services, US Dept of Labor, Department of Homeland Security, Customs & Border Patrol, and US Department of State for purposes of filing applications and obtaining up-to-date information related to immigration.
- Work with EDD to resolve difficult prevailing wage cases, based on knowledge of UC employment and personnel system, federal (DOL) requirements under the prevailing wage program;
