- As part of the Health Promotion team, the Assistant Director for Substance Use Harm Reduction is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive, data-driven, evidence-based strategy for the Syracuse University student population to reduce harm associated with substances such as alcohol, cannabis, and other drugs.
- The Assistant Director for Substance Use Harm Reduction is responsible for coordinating and implementing the delivery of recovery ally trainings and creating opportunities to support students seeking recovery.
- The Assistant Director for Substance Use Harm Reduction serves as the primary point of contact for campus-wide initiatives and serves on interdisciplinary teams addressing campus substance use.
- Master’s degree in health education/promotion/public health, social work, psychology, public administration/policy, higher education administration, or related field preferred.
