- Position Summary Reporting directly to the Dean and Associate Dean, the Assistant Dean serves as an ex-officio member of the GSE School Council and serves as aGSE re presentative on University committees (e.g., Academic Records, Calendar, the Graduate Council, etc.)
- The Assistant Dean is the principal aide to the Dean of the Graduate School of Education, coordinating the Dean’s office operations and advancing strategic initiatives in support of institutional priorities.
- The Assistant Dean is also responsible for providing administrative support to the Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Education (GSE).
- Collaborates with Dean and Associate Dean to prepare community-wide emails, coordinates annual and interim reports, and creates a range of internal and external communications on behalf of the Dean. Coordinates the development of the dean’s schedule, and GSE Academic Calendar.
- Manages master schedule for all academic programsAssists the Dean and Associate Dean in hiring adjunct facultyFacilitates the enrollment process by providing information about changes of schedules, withdrawals, refunds, grading policies and procedures, deadlines, cancellation and rebuilding of schedules, grade appeals, transfer evaluations, encumbrances, academic advisement, prerequisites, drops, deleted sections, permissions, overloads, special courses, etc.
