- Primary Responsibilities In the role of Architectural History Technician (Cultural Resources Specialist 1), you will be asked to:Conduct research and architectural surveys.
- Assess project effects, report writing, and assisting clients in complying with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.
- You may also be asked to conduct archaeological surveys under the direction of a supervising Field Director, where you may be responsible for completing archaeological site documentation, which includes feature and artifact identification and analyses; excavating shovel test pits (STPs); completing site descriptions; taking photographs; and mapping.
- Conduct fieldwork, including reconnaissance and intensive-level survey, to identify historic properties for a variety of clients, including transportation, renewable energy/power, and federal agencies.
