- Department/Unit: Critical Care Support Services Work Shift: Night (United States of America) Hourly Range: $28.99 - $46.39 Overview: The “STAT” level Clinical Support Nurse is responsible for identifying the patient's alterations in health, assessing the patient's human response to actual and potential health problems, implementing nursing interventions to achieve outcomes for the patient that facilitate homeostasis, and determining the effectiveness of nursing interventions.
- The STAT Nurse makes independent decisions/judgments and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient problems and situations based on protocol.
- The STAT Nurse acts to support patient care needs in any acute medical/surgical unit, intensive care unit, and Emergency Department.
- The STAT team is a group of critical care trained professional nurses who are available 24/7 for any issue within the hospital and medical college.
- The team members also contribute their knowledge to educate staff, patients, and families to recognize clinical deterioration and how to make a proactive assessment and observation for patients at risk for deterioration.
