In this role, you will define, plan and ensure implementation of product marketing strategies for Motion Drive Products in New Berlin, Wisconsin, meeting business targets and aligning with global product strategy. This requires a strategic perspective to match the market landscape and potential opportunities with ABB's current and foreseeable capabilities as well as the ability to prioritize and develop a tactical plan to execute. This role serves as a business consultant to senior managers, works with sales, marketing and engineering teams on product development specific to the industry requirements and develop solutions for client specific applications needs and local market requirements. The individual is responsible for developing and growing ABB's relationship and market share by increasing share with existing customers and/or potential customers. This position reports to Director, HVAC Sales Your responsibilities <ul><li>Understand and communicate to internal stakeholders Data center general architecture & applications and correlate to ABB LV drive products</li><li>Hyperscale / enterprise/co-location/edge data center / micro data center</li><li>Government /healthcare/education/ energy &power / military / high tech</li><li>Understand modularity and scalability of the design</li><li>Data center: Generations designs</li><li>Develop and prioritize major potential direct business development opportunity pipeline equal to or greater than 100 million United States Dollars for the drives business unit at HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Cooling) Key Accounts: Using both Global and country/customer specific knowledge within ABB and through external sources </li><li>Develop short and long term business plans and actions</li><li>Understand industry dynamics, decision making process and decision makers on product specification and buying decisions</li><li>Understand decision making power for motor and VFD "Approved Vendor List" definitions and inclusion. Positioning ABB as preferred supplier for industry is the ultimate goal</li><li>Technology trends/technology shifts: understand how the industry requirements are changing and translate how it affects the utilization of our products (for example: immersion cooling)</li><li>Work with product management and marketing to develop industry specific product portfolio and marketing/promotional material</li><li>Participate in related Trade shows and trade associations</li><li>Support Regional Sales Managers and Channel Manager</li><li>Work closely with Direct Sales Resources for knowledge gathering</li><li>Work with Local teams to coordinate any activity with any existing target Key Accounts</li><li>Collaborate with other ABB Divisions and the Industry Team to develop sales opportunities</li><li>Establish strong working relationships across the player map to include C Suite with key customers as necessary</li><li>Provide regular summary reports to the HVACR sales manager team</li><li>Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations</li></ul> Your background <ul><li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited university / college in a technical field and minimum 8 years of relevant experience or Associates Degree and 10 years of relevant experience</li><li>Experience within a complex business environment selling technical products to data centers, EV battery plants, semi conductor manufacturing or crypto mining preferred</li><li>Sound knowledge of motor and drive systems and the HVACR market</li><li>Product and market knowledge in Drives as they relate to HVAC systems and applications</li><li>Understanding of customer needs, experience in customer interface</li><li>Fluent English both spoken and written, good communication skills</li><li>Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft office platform and SFDC</li><li>Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US</li></ul> Benefits <ul><li> Retirement plan </li><li> Life insurance </li><li> Disability insurance </li><li> Wellbeing program </li><li> Healthcare plan </li></ul>More about us ABB Drive Products is a technology leader serving industries, infrastructure and machine builders with world-class drives.
