- The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for advancing the mission of the Houston Food Bank (HFB) by providing strategic management of the organization’s digital presence, with a primary focus on social media and content support for web.
- This position writes and creates quality digital content and drives engagement across HFB's social media platforms and website to optimize the organization’s digital footprint.
- The Digital Marketing Specialist will also play an active role in planning and implementing the strategic development of the HFB’s digital presence, including data reporting and analyzing metrics, supporting digital fundraising efforts with direct marketing vendors, assisting cross-departmental teams in developing ideas to meet goals, and identifying new opportunities to increase brand awareness.
- Additionally, lead content sourcing from leadership and other teams to ensure requirements are fulfilled on charity evaluator sites, such as Charity Navigator and GuideStar, and accurate data representation on sites such as Wikipedia and Google Business.
- Maintains comprehensive content calendar in collaboration with marketing communications team, digital marketing manager, online giving coordinator and other departments as necessary.
