- Position SummaryUnder the supervision of the Director of Student Relations, the Assistant Director of Student Relations is responsible for assisting with the design and development goals, policies and procedures of the Office of Student Relations that support students experiencing difficulty or personal crisis such as medical, emotional and mental health, academic, financial, and relationship concerns.
- As assigned, the Assistant Director serves on campus committees to develop policies that support student health and wellness.
- The Assistant Director may assess services and conduct program evaluation to improve student learning outcomes, retention, persistence, and completion.
- The Assistant Director coordinates the care of students in collaboration with many campus departments, including Counseling Services, Services for Students with Disabilities, Health Center, Equity Issues, Residence Life, Columbia Central, Campus Safety and Security, and the College Advising Center.
- Assist the Dean of Students, Associate Dean of Student Health & Support, and the Director or Student Relations with student disciplinary issues and behavioral intervention concerns as assigned.
