Iron Foundries

Iron foundries melt and cast iron into basic components and shapes used by other manufacturers and construction. Jobs often include pattern and mold making, operating furnace and casting equipment, cleaning and finishing castings, and quality inspection for defects. Work is typically hands-on and shop-based around heavy machinery, with heat exposure and shift schedules; entry-level roles may start with prep and finishing, with advancement for experienced operators.
