Support for all team members is of the utmost importance as evidenced by the following: Charge RN that remains out of staffing; each shift has a Resource Nurse who is a fully device trained RN to provide support and education for staff, covers nurses for lunch and admits patients if staffing calls for it; the unit also staffs for 2 clinical technicians each shift as well as a mid-shifter to accommodate the surgical cases throughout the day.
