In this introductory course, students will learn the basics of television and video production: camera operation, sound, lighting and editing for field and studio production. Through hands-on workshops, screenings, lectures and readings, students will explore the visual language of the moving image as well as the conventional and experimental approaches to non-fiction video, students will learn to use moving images and sound for artistic expression and as a tool for effective communication.
