The Restorative Nurse is the liaison between formalized therapy and nursing. Coordinates with the Director of Nursing and Therapy to provide ongoing education/evaluation of direct care staff relative to roles, responsibilities, principles, and practices of restorative nursing.

The Rush Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation has worked collaboratively on patient care across the acute, subacute and outpatient arenas at RUSH for the past 5 + decades. We currently have 14 MD/DO and one APP, 3 RN's, 4 MA's and one Clinic Coordinator and we work closely with leadership in the Neurosciences Service Line. Ability to do crisis therapy: Knowledge of theoretical paradigm that forms the basis of crisis therapy and its distinction from crisis interventions. LICENSES AND EDUCATION: Masters in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related Behavioral Health/ Human Services Field Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) preferred MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: Must be culturally competent.
