As our Field Project Coordinator, you will be deployed to active job sites across the country, embedded with our crew, and responsible for keeping the administrative engine running while the work happens around you. You will wear multiple hats every single day: coordinating with field leadership, managing documentation, tracking materials, supporting QA, and serving as a key communication link between the crew and the customer. The pace is fast, the input and output are high, and no two projects are the same.This is also a genuine learning environment. You will be mentored by experienced Managers, Foremen, and Superintendents who are invested in developing sharp people. If you are coachable, flexible, and energized by a dynamic work environment where your contributions are visible and valued, this role was built for you.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1) Field Coordination & Communication• Attend daily safety meetings to support jobsite coordination• Communicate daily field updates to administration and field leadership (management team, foremen, superintendents)• Coordinate with field leadership to keep priorities, next steps, and daily plans clear• Maintain professional communication with customers/owner reps on site (as needed)2) Quality Assurance (QA) & Field Verification• Verify work areas and layout against plans and site conditions; flag conflicts early• Learn to read and interpret drawings / CAD-based plans; support updates, redlines, and RFIs as needed• Confirm materials and identifiers are correct before installation (counts, footage, labels/designators)• Perform field quality checks to ensure work meets project requirements before sign-off• Document issues clearly and help track resolution3) Permits, Locates & Compliance Readiness• Obtain, verify, and track 811 / One Call tickets and required permits for planned work areas• Confirm permits, locates, and required job paperwork are in place before ground disturbance• Track expiration dates, updates, and re-tickets as needed to stay compliant• Coordinate with utilities/jurisdictions when permitting/locate issues arise4) Documentation & Closeout Support• Maintain daily logs and organized photo documentation (to administration and, when required, the customer)• Keep job folders updated (digital + physical): photos, notes, reports, approvals, and correspondence• Support start-to-finish photo packets and closeout documentation5) Materials & Logistics Support• Track and verify project materials on site (e.g., MV cable, DC cable, fiber, labels/designators, reels/footage)• Track jobsite supplies and flag shortages early to prevent downtime• Coordinate deliveries and timing to match upcoming work (including fuel and other critical jobsite needs)• Support the Operations team/VP of Operations with real-time coordination requests (calls, vendor follow-ups, scheduling support)WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREducation / Experience• Bachelor’s degree preferred — Construction Management or Project Management strongly preferred;• Entry-level candidates are welcome; hands-on experience in construction, project coordination, or field operations will carry significant weight• Any exposure to permitting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, or construction documentation is a strong plusSkills• Strong written and verbal communication; professional email/phone etiquette• Organized and consistent follow-through with deadlines and details• Comfortable learning and using tools: Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam• Able to write clear daily updates and keep documentation clean and easy to findMindset• Coachable, reliable, and willing to learn by doing• Comfortable in an outdoor jobsite environment with changing priorities• Calm under pressure and proactive with follow-up• Takes ownership: sees what needs to be done and follows it throughTravel — This Is a Field Deployment PositionThis role operates on a deployment model. This is not occasional travel — this is the job. Our work takes us nationwide, and wherever the project is, that is where you will be. You will be dispatched to job sites for extended periods and will follow a rotation schedule that ensures you receive scheduled breaks between deployments.Swift Plowing Co. takes care of its field team. We cover all travel logistics and accommodations, and provide per diem to cover your weekly housing and living expenses while deployed.
