Senior Project Manager
Senior Project ManagerThe Senior Project Manager will provide overall administrative, technical, financial, and resource management of the project from initial bid preparation through completion. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the project safely, in accordance with quality standards, on time, and within budget. The Senior Project Manager will provide guidance and oversee multiple project managers or assistant project managers.What You'll DoManage and lead a team of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and/or Project Coordinators with independent work portfoliosWork with safety personnel to ensure that project is being built in accordance with OSHA and company regulations and that proper training is occurringResponsible for the project financials and contract managementWork closely with the Project Management Organization to ensure consistency and adherence to organizational best practicesWork closely with the construction management to ensure successful delivery of the projectDefine problems, collect information, and establish facts to provide an appropriate resolutionLead pre-construction efforts in bid preparation, contract and exhibit review, and execution planningBuild and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractorsSetup, organize, update, and maintain electronic and printed files of project documents utilizing various systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and SharePoint; Primavera P6; EcoSys; QuickBase; B2W; and othersSchedule and manage subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliersMonitor support construction through communication with superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budgetAbility to interpret and act on terms and conditions within contracts in consultation with PAR West's legal team to protect company's interest while maintaining good relationshipsReview cost reports and evaluate methods to reduce cost while maintaining productivityManage budget projection for labor, material, equipment, and subcontractors procured on the projectResponsible for project cost forecasting, monthly cost to complete development, and accuracy of reportingResponsible for the invoicing or payment application process as well as monitoring the quality of weekly labor and equipment hours, material, and subcontractor reportingResponsible for productivity, efficient use of materials/equipment, and contractual performance of the projectLead daily, weekly and monthly meetings, including monthly project reviews, as required, including the formulation of the agenda and minutes. Generate daily, weekly, or monthly meeting documents as requiredDevelop, submit, track, and maintain all project submittals and requests for informationMonitor and manage project scope and develop, negotiate, submit, track, and maintain client and/or subcontractor change orders when necessaryDevelop and maintain project schedules in MS Project or PrimaveraAssume additional responsibilities as directed by managementWhat You'll BringKnowledge of project management, project controls, estimating, construction, finance, and contract managementAbility to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize team performanceThorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards and activitiesMaintain a professional appearance with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and to provide positive leadership to motivate personnelAbility to apply accounting revenue recognition concepts and operations as needed to examine construction operationsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint)Familiar with Primavera P6, JD Edwards, Hubble, EcoSys, QuickBase, and B2W technology platformsEffective communication (oral, written, presentation, listening) and ability to lead meetingsEffective motivational and supervisory skillsAbility to organize and prioritize numerous tasksAbility to travel and work on project locations, as requiredMust have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR)Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical specifications, financial reports, and legal documents EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required Education and Experience 4 Year Construction Science, Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, or similar related Degree OR Equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experienceMinimum of 8 Years project or construction management or project controls experience in similar constructionThorough knowledge of all aspects of project management, project controls, contract management, budgeting, estimating, schedules, negotiations, construction management (technology, equipment, methods), and safety required Preferred Education and Experience None LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Required Licenses/Certifications None Preferred Licenses/Certifications PMPCRIS SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for leading a team of 4-6 project management personnel TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travels: YesPercent of time: 25-75%Overnight required: YesWhat You'll GetPay- $ 125,000 - $ 175,000 /Annually *Depending on ExperienceBenefits include-- Medical, Dental, Vision, 401KOur projects are regulated by federal and state laws which require all employees to successfully pass criminal background checks, MVR, and drug tests (post-employment and random testing).
