Service Technician

Responsibilities may include troubleshooting repair needs, independently completing major repair projects, or directing projects requiring a team effort, including working with others in the completion of some work.Core ResponsibilitiesWork independently or in a team environment with minimal supervisionDiagnose and repair electrical, HVAC, suspension, pneumatic and/or brake systemsRespect and care for the customer and their equipmentDevelop personal professional and technical skills on an ongoing basisAct as a worthy representative of Prevost at all timesFoster teamwork and improved communications between sectors at all timesRespect the rules and guidelines of the companyComply with the quality and safety standards of the organizationComplete documentation thoroughly and timely according to company requirementsMaintain a clean and safe work environmentKnowledge, Skills & AbilityAdvanced troubleshooting and diagnostic abilitiesAbility to look up parts efficiently and independentlyAssist customers over the phone with technical issues and/ or questionsBe proficient in electronic media and laptop useRequired Education And ExperienceHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent or graduation from a certified technical schoolMaintain all requirements for technician4 years of qualified mechanical experience substituting one year of related technical training for a year of experienceProactively acquire and expand knowledge of the latest technology and systems in the industryMinimum RequirementsPossess comprehensive set of tools requires to perform function of a technicianAbility to read and writeProvide own set of toolsPhysical DemandsStanding/sitting for long periods of timeExposure to local weather variances, however work is generally insideLifting heavy objectsAt the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $36.00 - $50.00/ hour, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
