Job Description Job Title: Field Support Location: North Antelope Valley, California Type: Contract Work Model: Onsite – onsiteSystem One is seeking an experienced Field Engineer / Commissioning Support Specialist to support the Constellation Antelope Valley Solar Ranch project in Lancaster, California. This is an immediate, onsite contract opportunity supporting commissioning activities, field engineering, electrical protection systems, and outage planning on a utility-scale solar facility.This assignment is expected to last approximately three months, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and individual performance.Compensation & Project Support$250/day Per Diem$1,800/month Vehicle & Fuel Allowance$1,500 Mobilization Allowance$1,500 Demobilization AllowanceResponsibilitiesProvide onsite field engineering and technical support during construction and commissioning activitiesSupport commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipmentAssist with relay protection implementation and commissioning supportPerform field evaluations and equipment assessmentsReview Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) drawings and related electrical documentationDevelop and review switching plans for planned outagesCoordinate with project teams to safely execute field activitiesSupport outage planning and commissioning schedules while maintaining safety and quality standardsDocument field observations and communicate project progress to engineering and project management teamsQualificationsExperience supporting utility, power generation, renewable energy, or electrical infrastructure projectsBackground in commissioning, startup, testing, or field engineeringKnowledge of electrical relay protection systemsExperience reviewing electrical drawings and one-line diagramsFamiliarity with ATS systems and switching proceduresAbility to troubleshoot electrical equipment in the fieldStrong communication and coordination skillsAbility to work full-time onsite in Lancaster, CAPreferred ExperienceUtility-scale solar experienceSubstation or transmission/distribution experienceNETA, commissioning, protection & controls, or electrical testing backgroundExperience supporting outage planning and switching operationsSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
