Their core responsibility will be to develop high-volume business regionally through strategic account management for new and existing accounts with high business potential. This role requires technical knowledge of ITS and Signal core markets to provide on-site assistance as needed to customers in finding the right system solution to meet their needs.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for prospecting and managing sales opportunitiesDevelops and carries out an effective territory management plan to grow sales within an assigned regionWorks with key vendors and partners within a defined territory to provide technical assistance and assist them in driving salesProvides technical support and expertise for our customers to effectively sell traffic and parking safety products including on-site assistance and maintenanceResponsible for prospecting goals set forth for high-revenue customersAccountable for adherence to sales metric performance as defined by the management teamStrategizes within their region to create relevant marketing campaignsMaintains customer data within their assigned territory in the TAPCO CRM databaseResponds and follows through on inquiries and sales orders through email, over the phone, or our e-commerce websiteTravels to regional trade shows and customer sites as necessary, and reports back to managementSpots, monitors, and shares product and territory trendsDelivers quotes, credit terms, and bids to customers and/or prospectsRequired Experience and Knowledge/Skills/Ability3+ years outside business-to-business sales experience within the ITS/Signal industry. Industry experience is a nonnegotiable requirement for this role.Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving recordMust be proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookDemonstrated experience working independently and within a regional teamStrong group presentation skillsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to lift up to 30 lbs.Ability to travel approximately 50% outside to customersAbility to multitask in a fast-paced sales environmentAbility to assess needs and solve problemsAbout Us At TAPCO, we aim to enhance transportation and personal safety in our communities through innovative solutions and products.
