Responsibilities for this PositionManager of Operations Non Nuclear/Nuclear Pipe and Pipe PackagingUS-RI-North KingstownJob ID: 2026-19297Type: Full-Time# of Openings: 1Category: ManagementEB Quonset Point FacilityOverviewGeneral Dynamics Electric Boat, the nation's premier designer and builder of nuclear submarines, is seeking a Manager of Operations to take part in building the most complex product in the world.The Manager of Operations must provide technical/trade direction and overall responsibility for all the Non Nuclear/Nuclear Pipe Shop and Pipe Packaging activities at the Quonset Point facility (QP). Candidate will be the Resource Manager responsible for all Non Nuclear and Nuclear pipefitting trades at QP. Responsibilities will include facility manpower planning and hiring that support contract and schedule requirements. The individual selected will be responsible for proper trade resource placement throughout the facility as well as training and core competency requirements. Candidate will support and execute Principles of Operational Excellence - People, Product, Process, Performance and Plant/Equipment.Candidate must have a proven track record in the areas of safety, quality, cost, schedule, process improvement and communications. Must have effective problem solving skills. Individual selected will be responsible for project management, controlling overhead and direct budgets/EAC and managing daily operations.Candidate must be able to promote a positive team environment and be highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
