Employment Type: Full time Location: Harrison, NYSchedule: 5 Days in OfficeSalary: Based on experiencePosition Reports To: CFOJob Description:Family Office Commercial real estate firm located in Harrison, NY is looking to hire a CONTROLLER with 5 - 7 years of real estate and corporate accounting experience. An ideal candidate is someone who can work well in a small team environment, is an effective communicator with ability to interact directly with ownership and external parties, is an independent thinker and problem solver, proactive, has strong analytical skills, and superior organizational skills. Qualifications:Minimum of 5+ years of real estate and corporate accounting experiencePublic accounting audit and/or tax experience a plusCPA a plusStrong Excel skills (data manipulation, ad hoc analysis, layout/presentation of findings and thought process)Knowledge of Skyline is strongly desiredKey ResponsibilitiesPrimary manager of the general ledger for properties and corporate booksPrepare special ad-hoc analysis/projects as requiredAssist in the preparation of monthly management reports, work papers, lender and partner compliance reporting – including monthly journal entries, bank reconciliations, and variance reportsDaily treasury functions, including monitoring of daily cash activities, posting cash receipts, and cutting checks for properties and corporate officeAnalyze cash positions and prepare projections and distribution schedules as neededAssist in the preparation and maintenance of development project budgetsWork with 3rd parties (management companies, investors, insurance consultant, lenders, vendors, brokers. etc.) to ensure smooth operations and resolve issuesAddress the needs of the Family Office (distributions, communications with family members, etc.)Assist with preparation of year-end audit/tax packages and collaborating with the external accountants
