OVERNIGHT COMMERCIAL CLEANING SUPERVISORThe Overnight Supervisor is responsible to supervise and inspect the work of assigned areas, kitchens, bars, patios, staircases and/or public areas to ensure product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to clients according to hotel and company business objectives during the overnight.Responsibilities:Monitor and lead overnight team at various locationsTrain and supervise maintenance staff at the site, including night cleaners -- inspecting all areas and ensuring that standards are upheld.Schedule routine cleaning and maintenance of all common areas, and as requested by the Property Managers.Monitor the cleanliness of internal and external contractual obligationsMonitor and operate cleaning equipment.Cleaning and providing training with team membersEnsure trash removal and maintain the organization of the trash area.Assign projects to the overnight cleaning teamHands-on /working alongside team as necessary to complete tasksCommunicate to the director of operations with updates, feedback, inventories, orders, and disciplinary actionTravel between sites nightlyMonitor and control schedulesKnowledge and Skills:Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in maintenance work as well Inventory mechanical/janitorial suppliesMust have excellent internal and external customer service skillsAbility to lead others and motivate peopleHands on experience with cleaning techniques, shampoo machines, buffers/waxers, floor cleaning including stripping, cleaning and sanitizing of kitchens, restrooms, ansul systemsAbility to work individually and as part of a team; an intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skillsMicrosoft Office skills, i.e. Excel, Word plus Gmail, Google docs, Google calendarExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBi-lingual English/SpanishMust possess valid unrestricted US Drivers LicenseFamiliarity with driving in NYC metropolitan areaMust be able to pass DMV background checkExperience in Janitorial and Maintenance required.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 5 years experience in full-service hotels and full understanding of housekeeping and culinary cleaning standardsLocal candidates onlyU.S. Citizenship/Work Authorization requiredFive (5) years of supervisory experienceProven ability to effectively lead and manage the overall operation of the department budget and be able to control operating expenses, you must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of financial concepts, budgeting, and other accounting operationsBe able to lift 50 pounds without restrictionsCandidates should be strong leaders, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional customer serviceWorking conditionsClose and distance vision. Frequent sitting with some walking and standing.
