Shifts will include all shifts: morning, afternoon, evening and overnight on weekdays and weekends.This position will fill in as needed for BOTH of these roles:Medical/Security Patrol: Will patrol campus and respond to Independent Living PET (resident personal safety alarms), Pull Cords, and Emergency calls on campus. You will receive basic medical training to respond while nursing team or local EMT is on the way.Welcome Center/Gate House: Will respond to calls, verify visitors, ensure appropriate credentials, provide directions, contact patrol team for dispatch purposes, maintain gatehouse logs, etc.Minimum ExperienceWe would prefer (but are flexible) that you have experience in security or similar, and strong customer service skills. Medical experience helpful.Must possess a NC Driver's License and pass company MVR check.We will help you (if you don't have it) get your current First Aid/CPR/AED certification. You must have certification within the first 3 months of employment and maintain these certifications throughout employment at Arbor Acres.Typical Physical DemandsMust be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to manage exposure to severe weather. Must report to work even in inclement weather. Must be able to manage considerable amounts of stress. Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. Must be able to operate medical equipment/devices) portable lifts, etc.).Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be able to provide warmth and welcome to residents, family members, staff, and emergency personnel. Must be able to respond calmly and with good decision-making in emergency situations and medical response scenarios. Must be flexible with working hours. Strong verbal communication skills and direction giving skills. The ability to read, write, understand, and speak English.
