Instructional Assistant - General Application

Job TitlePosition Objective: The major responsibility of this role is to consistently teach and model what it means to think in a Christ-like way before his/her students and additionally, provide instructional support to the Lower School Teachers. Please review our Statement of Faith Agreement.Educational And Experience RequirementsAssociate's degree in a related field preferred or at least 2 years of experience in a similar field.Essential Skills And AbilitiesCommunicates clearly and effectively with students, teachers, and parents to support learning and collaboration.Adapts easily to work with students across all grade levels (Preschool through 8th Grade) and varying abilities.Collaborates with teachers and staff to reinforce lesson plans and support overall classroom goals.Assists in managing student behavior by reinforcing school-wide core values and expectations.Maintains a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where all students feel supported and valued.Major ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with teachers and provides instructional support as neededSupports and maintains classroom policies and monitoring studentsPrepares materials and operates classroom/office equipmentProvides support to the teacher by setting up classroom work areas, exhibits, and displaysSupervises students during lunch, recess, bathroom breaks, hallways, field trips, and carline as assignedSupports students by providing proper example, emotional support, and general guidanceThe above description covers the most significant duties performed but does not restrict the administration's right to assign or reassign other reasonable duties, responsibilities, or expectations to this job at any time, with or without advance notice.
