Campus Director of Sales & Marketing
Position Overview AC El Segundo & Hyatt Place El Segundo is seeking a Campus Director of Sales & Marketing to lead all sales and marketing operations to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and achieve optimal profitability. This role is accountable for developing and executing strategic commercial initiatives while maximizing total top-line revenue performance. The Campus Director oversees the hotel's sales team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management—and manages all sales administration activities. Additional responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, advertising, marketing plans, business development, and maintaining strong alignment with company and brand standards. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage the annual sales and marketing budget, business plans, and promotional strategies to achieve financial and operational goalsLead proactive sales efforts including outbound calls, site tours, client entertainment, and relationship developmentDrive market intelligence by monitoring key account production, analyzing competitive trends, and implementing proactive strategiesEnsure compliance with company policies, brand requirements, and established sales performance metricsUnderstand, negotiate, and execute sales contracts to optimize revenue opportunitiesConsistently achieve individual, team, and portfolio revenue expectationsMaintain strong visibility within the local market, representing the hotel in business and community organizationsParticipate in and/or lead daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operations meetingsPartner cross-functionally with department leaders to ensure guest satisfaction and support commercial successRecruit, coach, mentor, and hold sales team members accountable for performance, development, and results Skills & Abilities Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong negotiation and influencing abilityProven leadership capability with experience developing high-performing teamsStrong business acumen with analytical, strategic, and forecasting skillsExcellent organization and time-management; able to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyAbility to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and sound judgmentAbility to review and interpret financial information to support strategic decision-makingSkilled in developing customized client presentations and proposals aligned to business needsMaintains confidentiality and displays professionalism, diplomacy, and integrity at all timesInnovative problem-solver with resilience in a fast-paced environmentStrong relationship-building skills within the community and industry organizations Qualifications (One of the following required) At least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience ORA 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience ORA 2-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience Additional Requirements: Valid driver's license in the applicable stateCompliance with local and national employment eligibility requirements Advanced knowledge of sales, marketing, and hospitality practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applicationsExperience with professional selling skills and hospitality CRM systemsAbility to travel as required
