Executive Session Student Advisors

The Executive Session Student Advisors report directly to the Director of Student Experience and work closely with the Student Advisor Team Lead. Student Advisors serve as the first point of contact and provide exemplary customer service to students, staff, and visitors during in-person weekend Executive Sessions and other events at Harrisburg University. This begins with enthusiasm. The job requires a friendly personality and a willingness to assist HU students while they are on campus.Position RequirementsFriday and Saturday availability is requiredCollaborate with the Director of Student Experience and the Office of Student Success to deliver exemplary student experience during in-person Executive Sessions and other eventsProvide consistent customer service: giving visitors full attention, taking out earbuds, putting the phone down, standing and moving around during busy times, etc.Welcome students, faculty, staff, and other visitors as they enter the space or buildingAnswer general questions, assist students and faculty with using elevators and finding classroomsHand out general information materials to studentsAssist students without HID Mobile by verifying their semester registration and allowing them access to the elevatorsAssist students with connecting to campus Wi-FiRefer students to the appropriate department if further help is neededCommunicate issues to the Director of Student ExperienceAssist with any student services and special events when neededFacilitate student engagement activities, as directedSet up and break down after each Executive Session, i.e., tablecloths, signage, hospitality station, and appropriate printed materialsOther duties as assigned
